The method
Your picks. One shared path.
Choose who advances in each matchup until you have a champion. Every accepted selection counts immediately, even before you finish.
How the community advances
The community uses the same published bracket. At each node, the two eligible competitors come from its earlier community winners. We compare their total selections in that round, across personal brackets. Personal opponents can differ: a selection for A in a semifinal does not necessarily mean a vote against the opponent shown in the community semifinal.
Eliminated competitors keep their round totals, but cannot re-enter the community path. Ties use the published tie rank, then the competitor identifier. Zero-vote paths show seed placeholders. A week with no counted selections has no community champion. Live results are provisional.
An eight-competitor example
With published leaves A through H, round-one totals of A 60/B 40, C 45/D 55, E 70/F 30 and G 20/H 80 advance A, D, E and H. In round two, A’s 35 selections exceed D’s 25, while H’s 45 exceed E’s 40. The final compares A’s 20 round-three selections with H’s 15, so A leads.
If new first-round selections put B ahead of A, the semifinal compares B’s unchanged 10 with D’s 25. D advances to face H, whose 15 final-round selections exceed D’s 8. H now leads without a new final-round selection. C’s 30 semifinal selections remain recorded, but cannot restore C to the community path.
Changing your mind
Changing an earlier pick clears every selected step on its path to the final. Other branches stay saved. The server retracts the old selections and applies the replacement together. Redo removes all current selections; it does not keep the previous completed ballot voting.
One browser, one current ballot
No account is needed. This browser’s accepted ballot counts once. Retries and extra tabs do not add votes. Shared devices can share a ballot; cleared storage or another device can create a different browser identity. Browser counts are not verified counts of people.
